Piotr Kostrzewa-Zalewski

Piotr Kostrzewa-Zalewski is Director of AI Hub and Innovation at PKO Bank Polski, where he leads enterprise AI for a bank serving more than 12 million clients. He also works as a senior AI consultant to C-suite and VP-level leaders in regulated industries, helping them move AI from pilot into production while meeting their requirements for compliance, data sovereignty and operational stability. His career includes work with BNP Paribas, Marsh McLennan, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Al Rajhi Bank and Accenture. Across these institutions, he has delivered AI programmes hands-on, from deploying large language models on corporate data to building MLOps pipelines and AI governance frameworks. His delivery covers agents, assistants, internal tools and knowledge repositories, integrated into existing enterprise systems and tested to run at scale. Piotr has a working knowledge of the GCC's regulatory frameworks, including SAMA requirements in Saudi Arabia and the ADGM and DIFC regimes in the UAE. He aligns AI work with national programmes such as Saudi Vision 2030 and the UAE's national AI strategy, and designs solutions with auditability, data residency controls and regulatory alignment included from the start. A central part of his work is building internal capability that remains after an engagement ends. He sets up AI governance structures, upskills technical teams and runs structured AI literacy programmes that give executives, managers and frontline staff a shared understanding of what AI can do and how to use it responsibly. This reduces resistance to change and speeds up adoption across the organisation. Piotr works comfortably between the boardroom and the engineering team, translating strategic intent into technical delivery and explaining technical constraints in business terms. He is available for strategic engagements, advisory mandates and capability-building programmes across the GCC.
