Ewan MacLeod is co-founder and partner of Beacon58. He is a senior banking and technology executive with over 25 years’ experience operating at the intersection of banking, technology, artificial intelligence and transformation. He was most recently the interim CIO for a UK-regulated bank majority-owned by a Gulf banking group, and has held C-suite and executive leadership roles, including Group Chief Digital Officer and Group Chief Transformation Officer, inside Tier-1 and Tier-2 institutions across the Gulf, UK and Europe. He also advises banks, regulators and FinTech firms across Europe and the Middle East on AI strategy and governance, demystifying current trends, assessing the likely impact of sustained AI development on business models, risk and compliance, and setting the practical next steps to move from pilots to enterprise-scale adoption. Ewan holds a Bachelor’s in Information Management from University College London, an Executive MBA from Quantic and additional certificates from Yale, Stanford, Cambridge University and MIT.
