Holly Joint and Ewan MacLeod recorded their first live podcast in front of an audience at W Abu Dhabi on Yas Island, with a fireside conversation and networking around the changing role of AI in work and life. The evening became two episodes of Holly and Ewan Are Working On It.

In Episode 22: Reviewing the AI Summer , they look at six developments, including sovereign AI, cheaper Chinese models, agents behaving in unexpected ways, the effect on jobs and regulatory concerns. Audience questions bring in data centres, the environment and what an agent actually is.

Episode 23: Nine Months with Agentic AI turns to their own experience. Holly describes the agents that help her manage daily information and projects; Ewan explains his more cautious route from read-only access to a wider set of tools. The audience presses them on trust, education and the risk of outsourcing too much thinking. Their shared conclusion is practical: using agents well still demands human judgment.
